WHAT’S NEW FOR THE 2019 LEXUS ES?

The 2019 model of the Lexus ES has gone through a great deal of maturity shifting. It has a strong family drive, a hunger for achievement, and a confidence you can’t beat. The 2019 ES has some slight size changes, with a few inches added to its length and width. Its wheelbase is also 2 inches longer, straddling wider rear and front tracks. These features help improve the cabin room while providing athletic proportions and improved performance. The ES range previously included both gas and hybrid options, but 2019 introduces a third option: the ES 350 F Sport. Additionally, There’s been an increased use in high-strength steel for the construction, allowing for a stiffer platform. The engine has also seen improvements, including a new-and-improved fuel-injection system to improve the potential horsepower. Also new for this model year is an eight-speed gearbox transmission that improves efficiency and accelerates better. It’s replacing the six-speed automatic transmission of old.

HOW HAVE TRIMS AND TECHNOLOGIES IMPROVED FOR 2019?

The ES 350 is the basic model, but its ground-up reinventing makes it anything but basic. Its sleek silhouette is crafted by a longer and wider stance. The engine is more powerful, and the design features a carefully-engineered technology suite. The ES 350 Luxury adds luxurious features to the standard 350, with 14-way adjustable driver’s seating, perforated leather interior trim, wood trim, and ambient lighting. On the next level, the ES 350 Ultra Luxury takes that and adds perforated semi-aniline leather trim for the interior, a power open-and-close trunk with a kick sensor, and lateral performance dampers. For those who prefer a hybrid, the ES 300h is an innovative hybrid that pairs the world-class luxury of Lexus with two electric motors, a powerful 2.5-liter engine, and the most fuel-efficient rating for any luxury vehicle on the market. The ES 300h Luxury takes the fabulous hybrid engine and adds all the luxury features seen in the ES 350 Luxury. The Ultra Luxury trim brings the 300h hybrid engine to the next level. The all-new ES 350 F Sport features 19-inch wheels exclusive to the model, bolstered sport seats, and suspension tuning for a more powerful ride.

HOW DOES LEXUS PROVIDE PERFORMANCE WITHOUT SACRIFICING FUEL?

The ES 350 comes with a V6 engine with 302 horsepower capacity and gets an estimated 33 MPG on the highway. This powerful engine is paired with an eight-speed direct-shift automatic transmission system. On the hybrid side, the 300h engine has two cutting-edge, high-speed electric motors, pushing out a total system of 215 hp. The estimated highway MPG is 45. The ES 350 F Sport is a game-changer, with a V6 engine with 302 horsepower getting highway MPG of 31. The 350 F-Sport is not just sporty in without teeth, it’s built for higher performance with the Adaptive Variable Suspension system, lateral performance dampers for enhanced control and stability and finally an engine that makes a throaty noise when at a high rpm.

HOW HAS LEXUS SAFETY EVOLVED?

The Lexus ES introduces the Lexus Safety System 2.0, which reimagines a great deal of basic safety features such as triple-beam LED headlights, an adaptive front lighting system, low-light pedestrian detection, daytime bicyclist detection, and blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. The ES has five cameras, four of which are HD providing a panoramic view around the vehicle and one capturing road sign information.
