What’s New for the 2021 Lexus LC?

For the 2021 model year, the fast, exciting, and ever-popular Lexus LC and LC hybrid are back and better than ever. The LC, which is Lexus’s luxury coupe, features some updates and improvements in 2021. This year, the LC gets some changes to its mechanical system to provide a smoother and more powerful driving experience. Drivers can enjoy an updated transmission system that has been fine-tuned to give the LC with more power than before. The suspension system has also been updated for sharper and more precise handling. An Active Cornering Assist mechanism further improves the LC’s handling capabilities. The interior is also updated with the addition of smartphone integration and Android Auto. Exceptional materials and overall high-class cabin design are other notable features of the 2021 Lexus LC.

2021 Lexus LC Trims & Features

The 2021 LC is produced in two trim levels, which are the 500 and the 500h. The 500 is the trim that runs on a gasoline engine, while the 500h is the hybrid version. Along with their powertrains, the two trims have slightly different features and amenities. The 500 comes with many standard amenities such as head-turning 20-inch wheels and LED headlights. This trim’s interior is nothing but basic with high-end amenities, including quality features, keyless entry and ignition, leather upholstery, and climate-controlled heated and ventilated seats for optimal comfort throughout the year. Standard technology on the 500 includes a 12-speaker audio system and a 10.3-inch infotainment system. This trim also supports Amazon Alexa, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. WiFi is included with a 4G LTE connection. Sport seats are standard in the 500h, and it also comes with eight-way heated and ventilated front seats. A leather-trimmed and heated steering wheel is also standard.

Lexus LC Horsepower

The 2021 Lexus LC comes with one engine option, a 5.0L gasoline engine with eight cylinders. This engine has an impressive power output of 471 HP and 398 LB-FT of torque. The engine is connected to a 10-speed automatic transmission. It also has a rear-wheel-drive as the standard drivetrain. The hybrid has a combined gasoline and electric motor that collectively generates up to 354 HP at 6,600 RPM. This model also has a continuously variable automatic transmission.

2021 Lexus LC Safety

The LC and LC Hybrid both get plenty of safety features. Adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, forward collision mitigation, and lane-keep assist are standard safety features on both. Additional features are available through packages, such as parking sensors that are offered through the Touring package.
