What’s New For the 2021 Lexus RC?

This year, Lexus has welcomed a new Black Line Special Edition version of the RC. The Lexus RC exterior features several blacked-out styling details. On the inside, ash wood interior trim adds another special touch. All trim levels now come equipped with blind-spot monitoring.

2021 RC Trims & Features

The entry-level RC 300 is a popular choice. It comes loaded with a number of premium luxury features. Highlights include a 7.0-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration, a 10-speaker stereo, and onboard Wi-Fi. Under the hood is a turbo four-cylinder engine. All-wheel drive versions of the RC 300 come equipped with a V6 engine.

Drivers seeking enhanced performance will enjoy the RC 300 F Sport. Its Adaptive Variable Suspension takes handling to the next level. You’ll also notice the RC 300 F Sport’s more aggressive styling accentuated by larger 19-inch alloy wheels. Heated and ventilated front seats come standard.

While the RC 350 is similarly equipped, it features a more potent V6 engine. Meanwhile, the RC 350 F offers an optional Dynamic Handling package.

Atop the lineup is the high-performance RC F. It boasts a racy V8 engine. Forged alloy wheels and Brembo brakes come standard.

2021 Lexus RC Horsepower

A turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 241 horsepower comes standard on the RC 300. It delivers the lineup’s best fuel economy. Opting for all-wheel drive adds a V6 engine, which develops 260 horsepower. Meanwhile, a stronger V6 engine with 311 horsepower is found on the RC 350. Atop the performance ladder is the race-bred RC F model. Its high-revving 5.0-liter V8 engine develops a thrilling 472 horsepower.

Lexus RC Safety

The 2021 Lexus RC is one of the most secure sports cars on the market. It comes standard with Lexus Safety System+, which is a collection of advanced driving aids. A pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, lane departure alert with steering assist, intelligent high beams, and All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control are all included. This year, blind-spot monitoring has also been added to the RC’s list of standard equipment.
