For 2021, the Lexus RX will see little change. This popular luxury midsized crossover SUV, with a luxuriously-appointed cabin and smooth ride, offers a full range of features for most driver tastes.

2021 Lexus RX has Varied Trim Levels & Countless Features

The 350, 350 F Sport, 350L, 450h, 450h F Sport, and 450hL, are the 2021 Lexus RX trims. The base RX trim gets a plethora of standard features, including dual-zone automatic climate control, power-adjustable steering wheel, powered tailgate, and 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat. The standard infotainment system includes an 8-inch screen, a 9-speaker audio system with Bluetooth, USB, and auxiliary input. Stay connected with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration, along with Siri Eyes Free for iPhone, and Amazon Alexa.

Lexus 350L comes with a power-folding 3rd-row seat, rear-seat climate controls, and instead of a three-person bench seat, 450hL gets second-row captain’s chairs. The 350 F Sport and 450h F Sport includes 20-inch alloy wheels, F Sport styling enhancements, including a blackout mesh grille, and sport suspension. The RX 350 F Sport gets F Sport front seats. All-wheel drive is standard on the Lexus RX 450h, along with Vehicle Dynamic Integration Management, EV drive mode, and concealed exhaust.

2021 Lexus RX offers optional features like a moonroof, 12.3-inch touchscreen, heated/ventilated front seats, wireless charging, hands-free tailgate, leather upholstery, 360-degree camera system, premium 15-speaker Mark Levinson audio system, a head-up display, and heated steering wheel.

Technology features, such as the Lexus Reform Remote, is offered for free for three years. This tech allows you to not only lock/unlock the doors and start the engine but check the fuel level.

What’s Under the Hood of the Lexus RX?

There are two 3.5-liter V6 variants for the Lexus RX. The RX 350 and RX 350 F Sport are powered by this engine and get 295 hp and 267 lb-ft of torque. The longer wheelbase RX 350L and RX 350L F Sport, are powered by the same engine, but this version has five less horsepower because they have single exhaust pipes. The RX 450h and RX 450hL hybrids have a 3.5-liter V6 variant attached to a 123-kW electric motor. It’s rated for up to 308 hp and 247 lb-ft of torque.

2021 RX Safety Technologies

No matter which trim you choose, the Lexus RX includes plenty of safety technology. The Lexus Safety System+ 2.0 is standard across all trims. It includes road sign recognition, automatic high beams, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, radar-based all-speed adaptive cruise control, pre-collision warning with pedestrian/bicycle detection, and lane-keeping/lane-departure assistance.

The 2021 RX includes the Lexus Enform Safety Connect, a complimentary service offered for ten years. It includes automatic collision notification, roadside assistance, an SOS button, and stolen vehicle notification.
