What’s New for the 2022 Lexus IS?

The newest and most significant update to the 2022 Lexus IS is the addition of the IS 500 Sport Performance model. Packed with a 5.0-liter V-8 engine, it generates up to 472 horsepower and proves to be fun to drive. The exterior also had a more edgy and sporty design with the oversized hood and spoiler on the trunk. A rear diffuser is also present.

The 2022 Lexus IS trims include four different options with the Lexus IS 300, IS 300 AWD, IS 350, and IS 500. The cabin is packed with a lot of tech tools and gadgets. You can feel accommodated with the power front seats, and push-button start every time you get into the vehicle. The dual-zone automatic climate control makes it easy for the driver and passengers to stay comfortable in the cabin.

The layout of the interior has also changed. The cupholders are placed in new spots throughout the cabin, and the air vents are now closer to the doors. The infotainment screen has moved up a few inches to make it easy to touch and reach.

2022 Lexus IS Horsepower

The base engine in this model is the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, which generates 241 horsepower and has sufficient passing power. A second V6 engine is available on the higher trims to give you 311 horsepower. If you want as much acceleration as possible, you can upgrade to the V8 engine for 472 horsepower. The car is capable of accelerating to 60 mph in only five seconds.

The sharp steering and handling also make it easy to control and maneuver on different roads. The firm brakes provide sufficient stopping power while driving at high speeds.
