What’s New For the 2022 Lexus LX?

The 2022 Lexus LX gets a number of updates that make it even more impressive than before. Although the Lexus LX has traditionally been a standout luxury SUV, it comes with more bells and whistles to provide customers with a smoother, more refined, and more elegant ride. The 2022 LX has notable changes from front to back and under the hood. A stronger and more efficient V6 engine with a twin-turbo design replaces the previous V8 engine across the lineup. The LX has an updated transmission to match the new engine as well. With the latest LX comes a large standard 12.3-inch display and a separate 7-inch display. Two new trims will join the lineup in 2022.

2022 LX Trims and Features

The 2022 LX family gets two notable new trims this model year. The first new trim is called the Ultra Luxury, and the second is the F Sport. The Ultra Luxury focuses on comfort with more standard features and creature comforts than the model has offered before. The Ultra Luxury expands the amount of legroom available for occupants in the back row. The back seats now have a reclining function as well. Sunshades are added to the second row, and reading lights are in the back row as well. The Ultra Luxury trim also has its own air conditioning and purifying system. Wireless charging is standard in the Ultra Luxury, and it has built-in cup holders with a lid. The F Sport has larger wheels that are 22 inches in size, which makes them the largest wheels ever offered on the LX. The F Sport has sporty touches and features inside and out, including a jet black front grille with chrome accents. Elegance is also emphasized with the F Sport, which has a leather-wrapped gear shift knob and steering wheel. Custom seats in the F Sport are specially designed for comfort and to minimize bumps and vibrations from the road. Special colors are also available for the F Sport, including a white exterior and a red interior.

2022 Lexus LX Horsepower

The 2022 Lexus LX has a new engine this year. The LX now uses a twin-turbo V6 engine with a 3.5L displacement. The engine is smaller but more powerful than the previous V8 engine the model used. The V6 increases the SUV’s power potential to nearly 410 HP. The LX also has a 10-speed transmission.

Many safety aids come with the Lexus LX through the Safety System+ 2.5 system. This system includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pre-collision avoidance, and bicyclist detection.
