The 2023 Lexus RZ is an exciting addition to the Lexus lineup featuring a new four-door coupe body style, an available V8 engine, and a stunning new aluminum space frame. Building on a long tradition of building luxury vehicles that drive like they’re on rails, the RZ offers precision handling combined with refined power and performance. Let’s discuss some of the most exciting features of the 2023 Lexus RZ.

1. Engine and Performance

The RZ will be powered by an all-new V8 engine engineered specifically for Lexus and set a new high performance and efficiency benchmark. The V8 engine is a 4.0L DOHC unit that can propel the RZ to 60mph in under 5 seconds and has a top speed of 190mph. It will come with a horsepower rating of 820 and a torque rating of 523lb-ft. The V8 engine has been designed to be extremely responsive with instant power delivery, smooth power flow, and a throaty exhaust note.

2. Design and trim

The RZ will be available as a 2-door coupe and a 4-door sedan. It will feature a dramatic, new floating aluminum space frame. The coupes will be available in three trims.

3. Exterior and interior

The exterior of the RZ features a new design that includes redesigned lights and unique styling cues, aggressive aerodynamics creating downforce, and greater cornering performance. The design represents a new direction from the previous RZ models. All models will feature a new grille, signature Lexus bow tie, and revised front and rear styling cues that are distinctly different from other Lexus vehicles. The interior has been completely redesigned for the 2023 model year.

4. Technology

The RZ will come with one of the most comprehensive technology offerings in a vehicle. It will include Lexus’ “Digital Cockpit Display” (DCD) for the first time in a production vehicle. This technology features two-color screens–one for the instrument cluster and the driver. The fully digital instrument cluster features an integrated navigation system and a 12-inch display with predictive text input and touch screen developments. It also features a Direct-Message system that allows multiple occupants to send messages via their phones. It will also have Bluetooth and wireless technologies to allow multiple devices to connect to the RZ.

5. Safety

The RZ will come with Lexus Safety System + (LSS+). It includes an extensive array of active and passive safety features, including pre-collision warning, automatic braking, and a new lane keep assist system. It also has a rear backup camera with dynamic guidelines, front parking sensors, a surround-view camera system, and tire pressure monitoring.
