What’s New for the 2026 Lexus RZ?

For the 2026 model year, Lexus equips the RZ with upgraded battery packs. While the base 350e model boasts an additional 20 horsepower and an extra 34 miles of driving range, the mid-level RZ450e’s estimated driving range is now 40 miles higher. For folks who crave even more driving excitement, Lexus introduces a new 550e F Sport trim. Not only does this racy trim offer elevated performance, but it also has an especially aggressive appearance.

Yet another big change for the RZ is its enhanced charging capability, which can be attributed to the installation of a NACS (North American Charging System) charging port and a new 11-kW onboard AC charger. This update ultimately gives RZ owners direct access to Tesla Superchargers.

How Much Horsepower Does the 2026 RZ Have?

Equipped with front-wheel drive, the 350e models are rated to develop a combined 221 horsepower. The rest of the lineup uses an all-wheel-drive setup. Lexus tunes the 450e models to produce 308 horsepower, which results in noticeably stronger performance.

The RZ 550e F Sport generates a thrilling 402 horsepower. Aside from offering blistering acceleration, this exciting trim also features an exclusive M Mode with simulated gear shifts.

What Safety Features Does the 2026 RZ Include?

Every new RZ receives Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 as standard equipment. Some of the advanced driver-assistance features include Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, and Full-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control.
