The 2024 Lexus IS has a 2.0-liter engine, generating 241 horsepower. This compact I-4 engine cranks out 258 pound-feet of peak torque. Some models have a 3.5-L engine that produces up to 260 hp. This V-6 engine delivers a maximum of 236 lb-ft of torque. Running on a V-8 engine, high-end models accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in slightly less than 4.5 seconds. The eight-cylinder powerplant whips out 472 hp and 395 lb-ft. Entry-level trims go from 0 to 60 mph in approximately 7 seconds. Some models run on an eight-speed automatic transmission system and a rear-wheel drive. Select editions have a six-speed gearbox with paddle shifters and an all-wheel drive.
The Lexus Safety System+ 2.5 is standard on the 2024 IS. This iconic suite includes the Lane Tracing Assist, Road Sign Assist, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control and other crash-avoidance systems.
