What’s New for the 2026 Lexus IS?
The Lexus IS returns for the 2026 model year with a more aggressive appearance. Its broader front grille makes an especially bold statement. New 19-inch wheels further enhance the sedan’s exterior styling. Wind, which is a light gray hue mixed with metallic highlights, is the lineup’s newly available paint color.
On the inside, this dynamic sports sedan welcomes drivers to updated tech features. Both the digital gauge cluster and the infotainment touchscreen have grown to 12.3 inches. Meanwhile, new “Forged Bamboo” adorns the center console and ignition switch bezel. An all-new Radiant Red interior color is offered as well.

What Are the 2026 IS Trims & Features?
Lexus has reduced the IS lineup to two well-equipped trim levels: F Sport Design and F Sport. The entry-level F Sport Design trim receives a long list of attractive features. Highlights include an updated Lexus Interface multimedia system, a wireless charger, a 10-speaker premium sound system, and high-output USB-C ports.
Equipped with a sports-tuned Adaptive Variable Suspension, the F Sport trim brings enhanced handling capabilities. It also offers a new rear spoiler and red brake calipers.
How Much Power Does the 2026 IS Have?
The 2026 Lexus IS comes standard with a potent 3.5-liter V6 engine. It’s rated to churn out 311 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. While rear-wheel drive versions of the sedan feature an eight-speed automatic transmission, models equipped with all-wheel drive use a six-speed automatic transmission.
